- Mon 14 Oct📍King’s College LondonThis event launched the book “Nossa Correspondente Informa: Notícias da ditadura brasileira na BBC de Londres (1973-1985)” with the presence of the author Jan Rocha, who will be in conversation with the journalist Ali Rocha and with Professor David Treece (King’s College London).
- Mon 14 Oct📍Crossroads Women’s CentreCo-hosted with Women of Colour in the Global Women’s Strike – Screening of Orphan Mothers (A Troco de Nada) followed by Q&A with mothers featured in the film via zoom. Orphan Mothers shows the reality of brutal state policing and killings in some of the most affected communities in Rio de Janeiro.
- Mon 14 Oct📍Online EventIn support of Indigenous April – a month of indigenous resistance in Brazil – we were joined by two Indigenous leaders, Alessandra Korap and Dario Kopenawa, Fiona Watson, Advocacy Director at Survival International, Richard Solly, Coordinator of London Mining Network.
